Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Sunset, Texas.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Sunset, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
Shirley was born on June 18, 1936 in Greenville, Texas to Grady and Ann Marie (White) Harrison.
She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Shirley married Lewis Spurgeon on September 5, 1954 in Greenville, Texas.
She loved making crafts, flower arrangements and would often decorate the church and her home with items she had made.
Shirley also loved to Be-Bop to 1950's music and going on cruise vacations.
She is preceded by her parents, husband, Lewis Spurgeon and grandmother, Mollie Harrison.
Shirley is survived by her children, Vicki Watson of Sunset TX; Andy Spurgeon of Edgewood, TX; Dusti Dyer of Arlington, TX, grandchildren, Andy Spurgeon and Taryn Watson and the light of her life, two great-grand children, Addy Bell and Kenzi Mitton.
