Loyd lived in Wayne County most of his life and had retired from Malton Construction Company in Kirkwood, MO. He was a member for over 20 years of the Jacktown General Baptist Church. He was married to Anna Ruth Warrick April 19, 1955 at Clubb and had resided near Greenville for many years.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Grady and Neomia Allen, 1 baby brother, Loy Ray Allen, and 2 sisters, baby Lois Marie Allen and Mary Garner.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Anna R. Allen, of the home, 2 sons, Larry Allen and his wife Cindy, of Greenville, Mike Allen and his wife Judy, of Greenville, 2 brothers, Cloyd J. Allen and his companion Earlene, of Greenville, Roger Allen and his wife Debbie, of Hinton, OK, and 3 sisters, Mildred Craig, of Nashville, TN, Melba Jean Joy, of Cuba, MO and Sue Henry and her husband Mike, of Silva, MO.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Amy Dover, Angie Currington, Heather Allen, Chasity Emerson, Charity Allen and Thomas Teyssier, along with 10 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Burchard and Rev. Leslie Burchard officiating.
Interment will be in the New Prospect Cemetery near Silva.
