Funeral services for William Thad Spurlock, 92 of Choudrant, LA will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 18, 2013 at Alabama Presbyterian Church, Choudrant, LA. Marshall Boyd and Bill Willis will officiate.

Interment will follow at Alabama Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mr. Spurlock was born November 30, 1920, in Downsville, LA and passed February 15, 2013, on his mother's birthday.

A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, he worked for Shell Oil Company and was a longtime volunteer with Louisiana Soil and Water Conservation. He was the owner and operator of Spurlock Grocery and a cattle farmer. Mr. Spurlock was a Mason and was preceded in death by his parents Ransom and Guthrie Spurlock; brother, J. R. Spurlock and a sister, Inez McGee.

Mr. Spurlock is survived by his wife, Mildred Parnell Spurlock and a daughter Jan Delony and husband Lamar; sisters, Nettie Mae Semmes, Billie Ponder and husband Jack; grandchildren; Amy Brooks and husband Phillip and Brian Woodburn and wife Julia; 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ed Webb, Buck Webb, Bill Parnell, Bubba Via, Will Gray and Kirk Cormier.

Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2013 from 10:00 AM until service time at Alabama Presbyterian Church, Choudrant, LA.
