Margaret Bakken, 45, 2736 2nd Ave. N., died Monday (June 8, 1992) at Trinity Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bode, with the Rev. Harold Naig officiating.. Private family interment will be at the St. Olaf Cemetery, Bode. Visitation will be at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include her parents Donald and Della Bakken, Bode; sisters, Ruth Sorensen, Davenport, and Jeanne Fevold, Humboldt; and brothers, Paul Bakken, Ashland, Wisc., and Bruce Bakken, Bode.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel, and her grandparents.

Margaret Bakken was born at Fort Dodge and was raised and educated at Bode. She graduated from Bode High School. She had lived in Fort Dodge since 1977. She was active in Fort Dodge for the Association for the Blind and was also instrumental in handicap improvements in the area.

Funeral services for Margaret D. Bakken, 45, Fort Dodge, daughter of Donald and Della Bakken of Bode, were held Friday, June 12, at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode, with burial in the St. Olaf Cemetery there. She died Monday, June 8 (1992), at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge.

The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of the arrangements, with Pastor Harold Naig officiating. Casketbearers were Paul Bakken, Bruce Bakken, Doug Sorensen, Les Fevold, Troy Collins, and Judd Foth.

Also surviving, besides her parents, are two sisters, Ruth Sorensen of Davenport, and Jeanne Fevold of Humboldt; two brothers, Paul Bakken of Ashland, WI, and Bruce Bakken of Bode; and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a daughter, Rachel.

Margaret Dorothea Bakken, daughter of Donald and Della (Janssen) Bakken, was born Feb. 14, 1947, at Fort Dodge. She was reared and educated in Bode, graduating from Bode High School. She moved to Fort Dodge in 1977 and was active in the Association for the Blind and instrumental in handicap improvements in the area.
