Oak Hill - Samuel C. Antis, 70, died at his home in Oak Hill at 4:15 p.m. Friday. He had been ill for several months.
Mr. Antis was born Jan,. 28, 1884, in Jackson County, a son of Samuel and Lydia Smith Antis.
Surviving are his wife, Laura; a son, Charles of Columbus and a sister, Mrs. Nora Henry of Wheelersburg.
Mr. Antis was an employee of Pyro Refractories at Oak Hill for 27 years. He retired six years ago.,
Rev. T.C. Gregory will officiate at funeral services Monday afternoon. Burial will be in the South Webster Cemetery. The body is at the Hughes Funeral Home.
