NOLA FAYE ADLER , 94, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Adler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston. She was an Honorary member of the Houston Turnverein Club where she worked as secretary for over 19 years, until she passed away. She was given the honor of Member Emerita of the Houston Women's Bowling Association. She was a permanent member of the WIBC and was on the Board of Directors for over 45 years. She participated in over 45 national tournaments. She became a member of the Houston Bowling Hall of Fame in 1992. She was a Life member of the Texas Ten Pin Bowling Association and was the oldest member for over 4 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Adler in 1958 and her brother, Jack Craft. She is survived by her son, John Adler & wife Helen; four grandchildren, Vickie Montoya, John R. Adler , Michael R. Adler , Rusty L. Adler ; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Adler , Kai Adler , Michael Scott Adler , Monica Montoya, Avery Montoya, Aidelen Montoya, Mason Montoya and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 11:00a.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2001 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The family of Mrs. Adler will be receiving friends from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on January 29, 2001 at the Forest Park Lawndale Main Chapel located at 6900 Lawndale. Pallbearers for the service will be Sean Adler , Casey Adler , Michael R. Adler , Rusty Adler , Steve Megow, Jeff Megow. Honorary Pallbearers will be Houston Women's Bowling Association, Houston Bowling Association and Houston Turnverein Members. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of usual remembrances donation may be made in her name to the american Heart Association (1415 Lacocha, Houston, Tx 77054 or 713-610-5000)
