Services for Mrs. Velda Mae Williams, 55, of 1804 North Twenty-sixth, who died Friday evening in a Boise hospital after an extended illness, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cloverdale Funeral Home by the Rev. Ralph E. Waud of the Baptist Temple Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 115. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Memorial Park with Rebekah Purity Lodge No. 67 officiating.
Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 9, 1913, at Sublett. She attended school in American Falls, where she also graduated from high school. On Aug. 27, 1832, she was married to Carl R. Williams in Idaho Falls. The couple farmed in the American Falls area until 1935, at which time they moved to Emmett. During World War II they lived in Portland, Ore. They later moved to Boise, where they were involved in the contracting business. Mrs. Williams was chief clerk of the Department of Law Enforcement from 1956 until her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Myers, Neosho, Mo.; three brothers, Leo of Meridian, and Clifford and Harold Thompson, both of Boise, and four grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lee, Gary Emerson, A.E. Parkins, Al Reich, Chuck Clark and George Andrews.
Friends may call at the chapel from noon today until time of services Tuesday.
