2 BURLINGAME PIONEERS DEAD Two pioneer residents of Burlingame died yesterday. Harry W. Bodwell, 73, member of the first Burlingame city council in 1908, succumbed at his home, 108 El Camino Real. Col. Edwin F. Sweester, 87, last surviving Civil War veteran residing on the peninsula, died at the Letterman Hospital.
Bodwell came to Sun Francisco with his parents when he was 3. The journey was made from Michigan in a wagon train. He settled In Burlingame in 1906, served during the war as a lieutenant in the navy and retired from the merchandising business in San Francisco 10 years ago. He will be burled Monday.
Colonel Sweester served In the Indian wars as well as the Civil War. He crossed the plains as a young man, and later became a California newspaperman. Funeral services will be held Monday under auspices of the American legion,

Funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Oratory of the Chimes . (Geo. W. Sneider Co.), 15-19 North Ellsworth ave., San Mateo. Interment private.
