Lavena E. Gunn, 93, of Amarillo, died Friday, April 21, 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Jeff Bearden of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mrs. Gunn was born in Bache, Okla., and moved to Clarendon, where she finished school. She worked in retail at Montgomery Ward, Sears, Colbert's, Blackburn's and Dunlap's. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star, and American Business Women's Association. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church.

She married Jake Faubion in 1922. He died in 1951. She married L.M. Gunn in 1952. He died in 1964. Her son, the Rev. Loy Faubion, died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Peasgood and Loretta Higgins.

Survivors include two stepsons, John Faubion of Amarillo and Paul Faubion of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Irene Catherall of Amarillo; a sister, Oleta Schileter of California; three grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
