Funeral services for Richard G. Branham, 82, will be held Friday at 12:00 P.M. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Yown will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbia Fire Department. Mr. Branham passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Born in Elgin, he was a son of the late Tillman and Olive Gladden Branham. Mr. Branham retired after 36 years as a Battalion Chief with the Columbia Fire Department. He was a member of the S.C. Firefighters Association. Surviving are his wife, Sivas Ross Branham; children, Richard Woodrow Branham (Janice), Cheryl B. Branham (John), Lynn B. Williams (Tim); sisters, Lois Carns, Mary Corley; grandchildren, Emily Jones (Nick), Ben Branham (Ashley), Anna Sutton (Chris), Stephen Lazich, Mallori Lazich, Peter Lazich, Dean Williams (Shannon), Ann Roley (Gary); and great-grandchildren, Dylan Jones, Jackson Sutton, Sadie Sutton, and Balayna Roley.
