William S. Hendren, 100, Moberly, died at his home yesterday morning. Mr. Hendren was born in Howard County on December 5, 1884. He was a carpenter and farmer in the area for many years. He married Odessa Mae Duncan, December 25, 1904, in Higbee. She preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents, A. J. and Ann (Kanatzar) Hendren; two daughters, Edith Zeltner and Lorene Robertson; a son, Raymond and two brothers, Andy and Jesse. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: W. C. and Ruth Hendren, all of Moberly, Odis and J. Helen Hendren of Osceola, MO; one brother Cecil Hendren, of Macon; 22 grandchildren and many, many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendren was a long-time member of the first Christian Church and the Carpenter's Local 1434. Services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at the Cater Funeral Home. The Rev. Galen Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 9 p.m. at the Cater Funeral Home.
