Bruce W. Scott, 83, of Amarillo died Friday, June 29, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery in Wichita Falls with John McMath and Glen Walton, ministers of Bell Avenue Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Scott was born April 9, 1924, in San Angelo to Samuel and Willie Scott. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years as a letter carrier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the NRA and Bell Avenue Church of Christ.

He married Paula Mae Shaw on Aug. 10, 1985, in Wichita Falls.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Casey Scott; and a son, David Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Scott; two sons, Stephen Scott of Amarillo and Paul Scott of Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Gary Scott of Austin; a sister, Margie Overholser of Brownsville; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Westview Boy's Home, P.O. Box 553, Hollis, OK 73550; or a favorite charity.
