Donald Casteel was born on July 18, 1942 to his parents: Vernie and Arminta Young Casteel. He married Vicki Charlene Kamper on July 17, 1997 in Miami, Oklahoma.
Donald Casteel was a post master for 29 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donald Casteel is survived by his wife of the home: Vicki Charlene Kamper Casteel of Rolla, Mo.; father and mother: Vernie and Arminta Young Casteel; grandparents: Betsey Graham Casteel and John and Jill of Boonville; three sons: John Jason Casteel and wife Lori of Liberty, Mo.; Stephen Paul Casteel and wife Samantha of Jefferson City, Mo.; and David Woodrow Casteel of Fayette, Mo.; two daughters: Jill Elizabeth Casteel and Jody of Columbia, Mo.; and Kayla Marie Austin and husband Scott of St. Clair, Mo.; two brothers: Bobby Casteel and wife Carolyne of Ferguson, Mo. and Frank Casteel and wife Sue of Mehville, Mo.; and sister: Shirley Griffiths of Afton, Mo. Along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding Donald Casteel in death is one brother-in-law: Kenny Griffiths.
Visitation for Donald Casteel will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
Military Services for Donald Casteel will be conducted on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in the High Gate Church Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo.
