During the last weeks of his life, he was surrounded by his family. Paul was born in 1927, in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada to John and Alice Bergstrom and was the youngest of 5 children.
Paul moved to Denver when he was 14 and joined his family in running a small grocery store.
He attended East High School after graduation he joined the US Navy in 1944. Paul was stationed in Guam and earned the Asiatic Pacific, American Area and The Victory Medals for his service. He received an honorable discharged July 1946 as a Fireman 1st Class.
Paul loved skiing and met his wife, Adrienne through her sisters Patty and Delores in 1947 at Loveland Pass. They were married January 3, 1948. Paul was employed at Western Electric/Lucent for 30 plus years.
Paul was an avid fisherman and tied his own fly's. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved ice skating, hockey and playing tennis. He spent many summers camping with his family and enjoying Colorado mountains.
Some of his favorite places were Dinosaur Lake and Rainbow Lake.
After retirement, his favorite thing to do was play tennis with his retirement buddies. In his later years Paul and Adrienne would drive to Mt. Evans and Echo Lake to walk and fish.
Preceding him in death were his brothers, John and Richard "Bud", sisters Audrey and Doris.
Paul lived a full and rich life and left his family with wonderful memories and a legacy of love.
