Lowell Aamold, of Elk River, MN, formerly of Clear Lake, SD passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his residence in Elk River, MN. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church on Saturday. The Houseman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Lowell Clarence Aamold was born to March 23, 1942, Clarence Aamold and Vivian (Olson) Aamold (Peterson) in Clear Lake, SD. Lowell graduated from Revillo High School in 1960. He obtained his BA degree from Northern State University, located in Aberdeen, SD in 1964 with a concentration in Accounting.
Lowell was united in marriage on December 21, 1963 to Elaine (Tassler) Aamold at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, SD. Following their marriage, they moved to the Minneapolis area and finally settling in Anoka, MN, where they both worked and raised their daughters, Rhonda and Renee. Lowell and Elaine moved to Elk River, MN in their retirement years.
Lowell is survived by his daughters: Rhonda Burling and Renee Zeilbeck; grandchildren: Blake Burling and Kaitlyn and Cassidy Zeilbeck; siblings: Larry Aamold, David Aamold, Carroll Aamold and Carolyn Brendsel.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elaine Aamold (who passed away April 18, 2015); his parents, Clarence Aamold, Vivian Peterson; his brother, Douglas Aamold; step-father, Thomas Edward Peterson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carlisle and Gladys Tassler, of Clear Lake, SD: and his aunt, Thyra (Olson) Gustafson.
