Ruth J. LaFleur died unexpectedly Tuesday in her City of Tonawanda home. She was 81.
Born Ruth Muck in Getzville, she was a graduate of Tonawanda High School. [Daughter of Elmer Muck and Loretta Bessinger. ]
A homemaker, Mrs. LaFleur was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a former member of Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion.
Mrs. LaFleur loved traveling and gardening with her husband, Russell "Pete," who died in 2001.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathleen White of North Tonawanda, Eileen O'Hara of Brockport and Becky Krurnowski and Nancy Pope, both of the City of Tonawanda; a brother, Elmer Mason of the City of Tonawanda; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in John O. Roth Funeral Home, 25 William St., City of Tonawanda.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
