Jerry was the second of four sons of Wilbur V. Wilson and Carmel Mack Wilson. He grew up in Mayfield, PA and West New York, N.J. He attended Memorial High in West NY and Montclair State Teachers College in PA where he was a member of the Phi Lambda Pi fraternity. He met the love of his life in high school. She was 16 year old Lorraine M. Moore, the daughter of Robert H. Moore and Lillian F. Thran Moore. They would marry in 1949 and have 4 sons and 2 daughters by 1960.
Employment would take him from the NY Port Authority to Springfield MA, Jacksonville, FL, back to PA, and then to Decatur, GA. The stay in Decatur would cover 3 moves all in DeKalb County. Jerry and Lorraine would also live in Pittsburgh, PA, Lavonia, GA and West Palm Beach, Florida. His last employment as a salesman with Lignotech would take him to South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia. He loved sales and developed life long friends he treasured greatly.
He and Lorraine would have 14 grand children and 20 plus great grand children.
After Lorraine's death in April of 2014, Jerry would live in Stockbridge ,GA near family. He will be missed by family and friends, who loved him dearly.Gerard John Wilson
