Mrs. Jack Kirby Jr.
UNION--Mrs. Frances Adams Kirby, 55, wife of Hydrick L. (Jack) Kirby Jr. of 208 Springdale Dr., died 3:30 a.m. Monday in Mary Black Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Native of Union County; daughter of the late Wayland Hoyt and Fannie Vanderford Adams; graduate of Winthrop College, cum laude; received MAT in mathematics from Converse College; associated with Union Schools for 30 years, teacher, chairman of Math Department, Union High School, Math Co-ordinator for past eight years; member of Union First Baptist Church; member of Union County, South Carolina and National Education Associations, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Also surviving: sisters, Mrs. A.W. Johns and Mrs. J.W. Sullivan of Union; brother, W.H. (Sam) Adams of Union.
Services 4:30 today at First Baptist Church, Union, by Dr. R. Hayne Rivers; burial in Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wilbur F. Smith Jr., Paul Sloan, Al Smith, Harold Lamb, Joe Davis and J. Nesbitt Berry.
Faculty members, school administrators and board of trustees of Union Schools will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Body in church at 3:30 today.
