He was the owner of the Watermill Restaurant and a farmer.
He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors:
Two sons: Denis Gossett (Kim) and Rickey Gossett (Tammy); two daughters: Joyce Gibbons (Larry) and Melissa Hester; two sisters: Bertha Hogan and Edith Hartman; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral services held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
