Margaret E. Birch, 94, of Wallops Island, wife of the late Irving Bloxom, passed away on July 31, 2019 at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke City, MD. Born on August 31, 1924 in Statesville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edward Siceloff and Jettie McHargue Siceloff. She was a homemaker and a member of Island Baptist Church on Chincoteague. Margaret was a hairdresser and worked at the Virginia Welcome Center. She was also a longtime Sunday School teacher.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. Dukes of Salisbury, MD and Cheryl B. McCready of Saxis; six grandchildren, Sandra Lothridge, Kevin Henderson, Dana Paterra, Jonathan Dukes, Colby McCready, Shaun McCready; and seven great-grandchildren, Connor and Matthew Moran, Charlotte and Clara McCready, Nico Paterra, and Nora and Corinne Dukes. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca A. Henderson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17th at 2:00 PM from Greenbackville Union Cemetery with David Burgess officiating. Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, VA.
