Obituary - The Evening Star (Washington, DC), June 1, 1918:

Boy Hit by Auto.
Charles Cochran, seven years old, child of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Cochran, residing near Gaithersburg, Montgomery county, Md., was struck by an automobile while on the road near his home Thursday night about 8:45 o'clock and seriously injured. He was brought to this city and taken to Children's Hospital, where he died this morning about 4:15 o'clock.
