He worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Barton Salt Company, and several auto dealerships here in Hutchinson. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and was a volunteer at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, and Lincoln Elementary School.
Survivors: his wife, Ellen; sons, Marv Gorsky and wife Kathy, Topeka, B.J. Radcliff and wife Cynthia, Steamboat Springs, Colo., Robert Radcliff and wife Amanda, Chicago; daughters, Anne Cromer, Colonial Heights, Va., Katherine Muir, Leawood, Kan.; sister, Marvel McGuire, WaKeeney, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, Kristen Mentasti, Byron Radcliff, Chris and Katie Cromer, Gordon, Alex, Kelsey, Andrew, Quinten, Margaret, and Parker Muir; and one great grandson, Owen Mentasti.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Julius, August, and Edwin, and sisters, Helen Connor, Ruth Conness, and Greta Dice.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday March 29, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church, Sherman and Poplar, with the Rev. Skip Johnson presiding. A private family graveside service will be held. Friends may sign the book through the week at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
