Graveside services for Betty Ruth Royal Karr, age 80 of Cragford, will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Fuller officiating.

Mrs. Karr passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital. Born in Tallapoosa County, she spent most of her life in Clay County. She was a graduate of Bibb Graves High School. Mrs. Karr was a bus driver for the Clay County Board of Education, worked for Higgins Manufacturing for several years and retired from Russell Manufacturing.

She is survived by two daughters: Deborah (W.C.) Siggers of Delta, and Janet (Billy) Grogan of Cragford; four sons: Andy (Linda) Karr, Jimmy Karr, Tyler Karr and Brendon Karr, all of Cragford; two sisters: Pat Pike of Goodwater and Paula Royal of Leeds; one brother, Keith (Diane) Royal of Goodwater; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Griffin Royal and Lois Cannon Royal; son Marty Karr; infant grandson, Martin Wayne Karr; brother, Johnny Royal and sister, Peggy Royal.

Active Pallbearers will be: Christopher Siggers, Martin Karr, Jacob Hilyer, Justin Karr, Dustin Hilyer and Gregory Karr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
