On Sept. 11, 1971, he was united in marriage to Mary Luce at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Two children blessed their marriage.
Ralph was active in the community, serving on the Pardeeville Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. He was a past Lions Club member, past member of the Pardeeville Curling Club and the Pardeeville Jaycee's. He was an active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Pardeeville and sang in the choir.
His hobbies included the outdoors: hunting, fishing and being on his land watching the wildlife. Ralph loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law and the best grandpa. He was a man that gave himself to help others.
In 1981, Ralph began his own insurance agency "Ralph Gorsuch Agency." He began his practice in Pardeeville, for the first year and then moved to Portage, where he has had his office for the past 25 years.
