Lucius Rawl Ward, 74, died Tuesday. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Milledge T. and Agnes Rawl Ward. He was the former owner of Wards Gulf and B.P. Service Station at 1432 Gervais St. and was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Grace Able Ward; daughters, Sylvia Elaine and Brenda Gail Ward, both of Columbia; a brother, M. T. Ward of Columbia; and sisters, Corrie "Tiny" Caughman of Lexington and Lula Lybrand of Ridge Spring. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church building fund. © The State, Columbia, SC, 29 May 1991
