Weinzierl, Rose Marie, 91, Westmont, died July 25, 2019. Born June 19, 1928 in Blough, PA, daughter of the late William Leach and Zetta (Shaffer) Leach-Burket. Preceded in death by husband, Gerald C. "Jerry" Weinzierl in 2016, step-father Charles Burket, sister Sue Ann Axmacher, brother James Leach, and son- in- law Raymond Barchiesi. Survived by children Ann Krall (John), Jane Weinzierl, Rita Shimek (Michael), Mary Weinzierl, and Brian Weinzierl (Karen); 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Rose Marie graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She worked and retired from Mercy Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse, who enjoyed cooking and baking. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and with her "card club ladies". She was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, where funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, Very Rev. Mark Begly, officiating. Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. from 9 AM until time of departure for funeral mass. Born January 20, 1923 in Croyle Twp., daughter of Aloysius and Matilda (Schrift) Bodenschatz.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband William C., who died on December 20th, 2008, after 65 years of marriage; son Ken Weinzierl and his wife George Ann (Bearer); brothers Herbert; Charles; Bob; sisters Leona Rosage; Magdalene Plummer; Ruth Harteis; and Caroline Kessler; brothers-in-law Bob; Art; Les; Joe; and Tom Weinzierl; and sister-in-law Mary Ann Findley. Rosemarie was the last surviving member of her immediate family and will always be remembered for her welcoming smile.

Survived by children; Rick and his wife, Denise (Schellhammer) Johnstown; Jeanne wife of, Edgar Quinones, Huntingdon; Carol wife of, Bill Moudy, Johnstown; and Patty wife of, Paul Kingston, Maryland.

Also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Jill Moudy Solomon (Craig); Ryan Quinones; Billy Moudy(Sarah Bayer); Kristin Weinzierl (Brad Best); Melissa Quinones; Michelle Moudy Tarquino (Phil); Matt Weinzierl; Chad Quinones; Lindsey Kingston Auburn (Josh); Megan Kingston Lolli (Dan); Jake Kingston and Danny Weinzierl. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Also survived by sister-in-laws, Mag Martin, Eileen Weinzierl and Mary Kay Weinzierl.

She was a 1941 graduate of South Fork High School. She assisted her husband in collecting taxes in Lower Yoder Twp. and sold Beeline clothes for many years. She was an author of "Mom's Memories", an autobiography, enjoyed playing Bingo at Riverside Fire Hall especially when she won, playing pinochle with her friends and relatives and playing Oh Sh—, anytime there were at least 4 people available. She was very proud of her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church since 1952, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly.

Friends received on Friday from 2-8 PM at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
