"Allie G. Basham, 92, rural Parkville, died yesterday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ray County and had lived in the Parkville area about 40 years. He was a retired optical company employee. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Addie Basham of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Olivetta House of 3127 S. 8thTerrace, Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Frances Gabauer of Brentwood, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Rosie Garret of Orrick, Mo.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Francis Chapel, Parkville; burial in East Slope Memorial Gardens." The Kansas City Times, December 1, 1972
