Passed away peacefully at his home in Belgrade, MT on June 22, 2007. Born in Clayton, MO on October 29, 1923, he and his brother Lee were raised in Larchmont, NY and attended Governor Dummer Academy, (now Governor's Academy) in Byfield, MA. His sojourn at MIT was interrupted for two years, serving with the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. In 1950 he developed a successful warehouse distribution business (Empire Terminal Warehouse) in Dallas, TX, ultimately retiring and selling to Shippers' Warehouse in 2003. Lester is survived by his wife, Ann; his son, Randall and his wife, Diana and grandchildren, Greyson and Parker; his son, David; his daughter, Valerie; and his stepson, Wade Mitchell and his wife Sherry, and their children, Blaine and Drew - all of Dallas, Texas. Lester's love of the mountains and fly fishing drew him to Big Sky, MT in 1978. It was here in the Three Rivers area nearby that he became "The Compleat Angler". He will be remembered as such
