Glen (sic) Chapman passed away Tuesday evening, January 20 at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Klawitter Funeral Home.

Glen Clifford Chapman was born August 26, 1913, at Nelson, Nebraska, the son of Robert and Margaret Chapman. He passed away on January 20, 1970, at the Veteran's Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Glen served with the Army in Europe during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

On February 18, 1968, he was baptized in the Christian Church at Nelson and remained a member till his death.

Glen made his home in Nelson with his mother until her death. He worked for the Nuckolls County Oil Company and the Farmers Union Oil Company for many years.

He is survived by his three sisters: Gladys F. Wolfe of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hazel Moore of Kansas City, Missouri and Helen Cooper of Hastings, Nebraska and two brothers: Ralph R. and Jake L. of Nelson. He is also survived by one uncle, Herman Lehn of Chappell, Nebraska and three aunts: Anna Renken of Ruskin, Nebraska, Martha Duebler of Tecumseh, Nebraska and Bertha Brubaker of Beaver City, Nebraska. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 23, 1970 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church, Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Victor Schwarz officiating.

Casket bearers were: Bluford Cannon, Bill Thornberry, Garth Melvin, Loy Davidson, Jack Wehrman and Lynn Thayer.

Interement was in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska. Military Rites by Nelson VFW No. 7197.
