Janice Lee Creamer Williams was born in Shepherdstown, West Virginia to the late Eleanore Washington Creamer and Nelson Creamer. She graduated in 1951 from Ramer Memorial High School in Martinsburg, WV. Janice went on to Henryton, MD to take a one year course in Practical Nursing and graduated in 1952. She married Douglas Williams in 1959. Janice started working at Frederick Memorial Hospital then went on to work at NIH until she retired. She was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. church where she sang with the Quinntones, now known as The Faith Gospel Singers, and the Senior Choir. Janice also served as a Missionary, President of the Junior Usher Board and a member of the Ruth S. Brooks Scholarship Committee.
Janice, aka Nanny, is survived by: 2 sons, Douglas Williams (Marsha) and Alvin Williams; 8 grandchildren, Turkessa Williams, Gito Williams, Derland Williams, Ciara Williams, Gabrielle Willams, Jordan Williams, Paris Rodriguez, and Deris Womack; 5 great grandchildren, Nehemiah Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Nashala Williams, Idedrian Williams (Nathaniel Alfred), and Azyshae Keys; 6 great, great grands, Makayla Williams, Nehemiah Williams, Jr., Jordan Dailey, Janiece Williams, Avangelline Alfred, and Alvaro Williams; 2 great, great grands due in 2019 (June and August); 3 brothers, Clarence Creamer, James Creamer and Thomason Creamer; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and, last but not least, many whom she babysat or helped to raise. She was predeceased by her: mother, Eleanore Washington Creamer; father, Nelson Creamer; husband, Douglas U. Williams; mother-in-law, Marie Peach; father-in-law, Mervin Thomas; brother, Charles (Duck) Creamer; and sister, Francis Scott (Creamer).
