MRS. FREDERICK J. SHANK

Mrs. Phoebe Elizabeth Shank was born in Olive Green, Ohio, September 6th, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gammill. She came with her parents to Nelson, Nebraska, in the spring of 1883 and was married to Mr. Frederick J. Shank April 19th, 1892. While for some years past, bodily infirmity was more or less her portion, she was still able to render her service to home and loved ones until a very short time ago. But her last illness very quickly did its work and she passed from this life on August 20th, 1915, at the age of 46 years, 11 months and 14 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her aged mother, her husband and daughter, Gladys; also five sisters and two brothers. The sisters are: Nelson Ramsey of Sunbury, Ohio; Mrs. W.H. Rosecrans of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Ada Lott, Mrs. George Ewing and Mrs. Bert Stoner of Nelson. The brothers are: Mr. Clyde Gammill of Hebron, Nebr., and Mr. John Gammill of Nelson.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing home and friends.

The funeral services were held from the Gammill home on west Second street (sic) on Monday afternoon. Rev. F.G. Knauer assisted by Rev. J.F. Green conducted the ceremony.
