On Thursday, January 26, in his 89th year, Alfred passed away at the Peter D. Clarke Long Term Care Home with his son, Christopher (Mary Lou), and daughter, Jennifer (Bruno), at his side. He is also mourned by his 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Alf’s wife, Doris, formerly Doris Perrier is also a Peter D. Clark resident. Their son, Robert Charles resides in Vancouver, and their youngest daughter, Catherine Helena (Kit) died in 2014.
Alfred Currie served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 23 years and with the National Energy Board for 10 years before retiring in Rosetta, Lanark County.
