Lois Bertha Lawson, 90, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at the China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Denise Rogers officiating. Friends may come by OakCrest Funeral Home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday to sign the Guest Book.
Lois was born in China Spring, Texas, to the late Watt and Bertha Ferguson. She grew up in Speegleville, Texas. She married Robert Neal Lawson on Dec. 16, 1933. She lived at various times in Speegleville, China Spring, Robinson, and Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brother, Travis Ferguson; and son-in-law, George Leonard Moore.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Moore, of Arlington; sons, Travis and wife, Betty, of Burnet, Texas, Steve and wife, Brenda, of Tyler, Texas, Ben and wife, Kim, of Kinder, La., and Rodney, of Waco; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and extended family.
