She was born in Blackburn, Oklahoma on June 22, 1920 to Flint Harry Hamrick and Lilly Alyse (Farris) Hamrick. She graduated from Blackburn High School in 1937.
Howard Allen Pingry became her husband October 12, 1946 and to this union a son and daughter were born.
Surviving is the daughter and son, plus 6 grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Glendora Omohundro and Ruth Bernard, and a brother, Shorty Hamrick.
