Miss Elizabeth McConnell died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Thompson in Houston on Wednesday evening, August 26, aged about 85 years. Miss McConnell, who had been In feeble health for a long time, fell a few weeks since and dislocated her hip joint, and from this injury she never recovered. Deceased was a sister to James McConnell of Houston; also to the late Alexander McConnell of Chartiers township, and was a sister-in-law to Mrs. Lyde A. McConnell of West College street. Miss McCounell was for long years a consistent member of the United Presbyterian church, and was a woman held in high regard by all who knew her. The funeral services will be held at the Thompson home at 1 p. m. Friday. The interment will be in the Speer Spring cemetery.
