Wilda Ellen Waggoner Green, 78, of Oneonta was born on April 11, 1941 and passed on July 16, 2019. Mrs. Green was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Oneonta First Baptist Church, where until she became unable, she was an active member in the choir and the WMU organization. She was preceded in death by her parents Nina Bynum Waggoner and Maurice Waggoner. Surviving are husband of 60 years Garvin EuGene Green, daughters Cindi Green (Tommy) Woodall and Sherri Green (Tommy) Zito; four grandchildren Daniel Woodall, Thomas Zito, Michael Woodall and Danielle Zito; brother Wayne Waggoner, brother-in-law Marvin (Evelyn) Green, sisters-in-law Sue Green and Gracie Green; along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Oneonta First Baptist Church from 9:30 AM until 11 AM. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 AM with Dr. Larry Gipson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Sunday school classmates will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oneonta First Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. Benny Ballenger, Jeff Bicknell, Leto Curl, Neil McKee, George Reid and Elwyn Thomas will serve as pallbearers.
