Roberta E. Uptegraph, 92, of Ford City, formerly of Freeport, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, peacefully at Ross Ridge Manor, Manor Township. Mrs. Uptegraph was born July 18, 1914, in Ford City, the daughter of the late Robert and Nora (Corbett) Kutsch and was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Uptegraph, in 2003. Roberta enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching TV. Mrs. Uptegraph is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Bonnie) Uptegraph, of Grove City, and Jack (Marie) Uptegraph, of North Buffalo Township; a brother, Robert Kutsch Jr., of Kittanning; and two sisters, Mildred Uptegraph, of Salem, Ohio, and Mildred Adams, of Somerset. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Wilbur "Babe," Edward and Vernon Kutsch; and two sisters, Lillian Foreman and Dorothy Anthony. Family and friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Chaplain Thomas Spiker, of Medi Home Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
