Dolly Ann Collins Akers, 74 of Altoona, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Dolly was born September 6, 1944 in McCarr, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Harrison and Maggie Collins.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Bruce Akers and wife Debbie, of Meridianville, AL and daughters, Rhonda Denise Webb and husband Robert, of Boaz, AL and Patty Ann Avery and husband Guy, of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Amanda Akers, Mat Akers, Tyler Webb and wife Magen, Jordan Webb, Heather Whisenant and husband Jason, Tanner Avery, Trent Avery and wife Emily, Andrew Akers and William Akers; Great-grandchildren, Joey Winkler, Tessa Pierce , Hadden Whisenant and Edith Whisenant; sister, Geraldine Burgess along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gale Akers; son, Derek Andrew Akers.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 3:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville Alabama, 698 Winchester Road NE with Rev. Milburn Gross Jr. officiating. The Eulogy will be given by Ashley Ramage. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm prior to the service. Entombment will immediately follow services at Valhalla Memory Gardens at the Chapel of Love Mausoleum.
