Virginia “Marie” Lyons, 62, of Parkersburg died July 11, 2019 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born on August 30, 1956 in Parkersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Raymond Edward Lyons, Sr. and Hazel Cross Lyons. She was proud of the family she had, was the life of the party and a "G".
Virginia is survived by four children, Samantha (Charus) Bennett, Amanda (Stevie) Henderson, Jr., Jeremiah Lyons, Matilda (Jeremy Corbin) Lyons all of Parkersburg; thirteen grandchildren Mark, Morgan, Madison, Jourdon, Isaiah, Seth, Adrian, Allen, Stephen, Jaylynn, Slaton, Meiliana, Zanderlyle,; several great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond E. "Bubby" Lyons, Jr.; two sisters, Nancy Sundstrom and Violet Sims.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Sebastian Still and Jacob Lyons and one great grandson Cole Still.
Funeral services will be Friday 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Melody Smith and Reverend Rich McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8 pm and Friday 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
