QUENEMO – Vance C. Spiker, 37, of Quenemo, KS passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. He was born July 26, 1981 in Westmoreland, KS the son of Allen D. Wichman and Joyce P. Singleton. He was later adopted by Jared and Amy Spiker.

Vance attended Wetmore High School and later received his GED. He then graduated from Manhattan Area Technical College with a certification in Automotive Collison Repair.

On May 24, 2014, Vance was united in marriage to Caramie Wassam in Topeka, KS.

He enjoyed demolition derbies, NASCAR, riding his quads and spending time with his dogs.

Survivors include his wife Caramie Spiker of the home; mother, Joyce Singleton of Blue Rapids, KS, adopted parents, Jared and Amy Spiker of Holton, KS 2 step-children, Kylie Grist and Andrew Rowland both of the home; 4 sisters, Ashley Dewitt (Todd) of Blue Rapids, KS, Angie Zimmerman of Waterville, KS, Teresa Shoptese of Blue Rapids, KS and Traci Koebel (Mike) of Missouri; 1 brother, Camoran Shoptese of Blue Rapids; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen D. Wichman.

Family will greet friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with John Chiles to speak at the start of the visitation. A cremation will follow visitation. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated at a later date c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
