Mr. Grantham died May 17 at Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. He was born in the Red Hill Community on March 31, 1926, and had lived in Dickens County most of his life.
He married Bobbie Young in Lubbock on November 16, 1947. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Spur High School, class of 1943. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He served as a 4H Adult Leader for many years and was a member of the VFW.
At the time of his death Mr. Grantham was serving on the board of directors of the South Dickens County Senior Citizens and was named Outstanding Senior Citizen by that group in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Grantham, Spur; a son, Wayne Grantham, Plainview; two daughters, Kathy Coker, Corpus Christi and Tonette Redman, Plainview; three grandchildren.
