Eva Jean Hooks Weeks, 84, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on July 1, 1935 in Silsbee, to Evie Luper and Will Hooks.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Gordon and her husband, Terry; Evevone Kelly and her husband, Jim; James Morse; Joe Morse; Lee Bohler; and John Weeks, Jr, all of Silsbee; sister, Lavone Gordon, of Austin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and also, Evelyn Harris and Norman Hooks.
Eva is preceded in death by her husband, John Morgan Weeks, Sr; and her parents, Will and Evie Hooks; daughter, Kathy Prine; grandson, Jeremy Prine; great-granddaughter, Callie Sanford; brothers, Warren Hooks and Rayburn Hooks; and sisters, Aline Hooks, Bertie Bigford, Irene Gordon, Lavern Yeagin, and Ima Flowers.
A gathering of Ms. Weeks’ family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Broussard’s 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
