Services for Bill L. Glenn, 74, of Stamford were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Stamford with the Revs. Calvin Gry and Joe Walton officiating. Burial was in the Spur Cemetery in Spur at 5:00 p.m. Sunday under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. He died Thursday, September 5, at a Stamford nursing home.
Mr. Glenn was born December 22, 1927 in Best, Texas to Richard and Bettie Glenn. He married Bobbie Watters July 13, 1946 in Spur. They lived in Spur until 1970 when they moved to Stamford.

Bill retired in 1989, after 35 years, from the Production Credit Association as executive vice president and loan officer. he was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Lions Club, a board member of the Stamford Industrial Foundation, a director of the Stamford Art Foundation, a member of the First Baptist Church were he was a deacon, and a member of the Golden Age Chlori, also serving as interim music director. He was also awarded the honorary Lone Star farmer award from the Stamford FFA.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bebe Bright and Nell Chance.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Glenn of Stamford; one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Pam Glenn of Granbury; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Oscar Cedillo of Abilene, Sherri and Steven Medford of Abilene, and Terri and Alan Plumlee of Stamford. Four grandchildren, Eric Plumlee, Chad Plumlee, Ashley Glenn Snodgrass, and Wes Medford; one half-brother, Sam Bingham of Lubbock, and one half sister, Saunda Morgan of Lubbock.
