Fort Adams, former owner of Adams Homes and Tharpe insurance brokerage firm, died Saturday at his home after a brief illness.
Funeral for Mr Adams, 74, will be at 11:30 am Monday at Spring Hill, Dr Thomas A Whiting and Dr Frank Moorhead officiating.
Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mr Adams, who lived at 375 Blackland Road NW, was a member of the official board of the Peachtree Road Methodist, the Capital City Club and the Piedmont Driving Club.
Surviving are the widow, the former Margaret Buchanon; daughter, Mrs Lawrence Ford of Ashville, NC and three grandchildren.
