Charles Robert Fangman, 86, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at home in Excelsior Springs.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 6-7 pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Excelsior Springs, MO. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO, on Friday, May 17, 2019.

Charles was born June 13, 1932, in Seneca, KS. He is the son of the late Paul Alexander and the late Florence Etheldredu (Stallbaumer) Fangman. He married Bonnie Linda Paine on December 27, 1957 in Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Charles loved his family dearly: he loved spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren; they were his trophies; his children were his wealth and greatest accomplishments. Charles was active in his church. He was a member of St Raphael church in Kansas City, MO, and mowed the church property for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved life and was a jokester. He was a hard worker who grew up in a farm community.

He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Linda (Paine) Fangman, three daughters: Julie Brooks, Angela Ryan and Cynthia Herron; and one son: Patrick Fangman; two sisters: Janie Werner and Esther Fangman; and three brothers: Elmer Fangman, Lester Fangman and John Fangman; he also leaves behind twenty grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Haug, brother, Leonard Fangman, brother, Gilbert Fangman, and daughter, Constance Jenkins.
