Blanche was the daughter of William C. Wilson and Mary Jane Mills Wilson. Blanche lived most of her life in Melrose, Oregon. Blanche married Charles E. Kyes on 8 October 1896. Blanche and Charlie had one child, Leona V. Kyes, who died at the early age of 18 years. Her family was musically inclined. Her brother George Wilson played the fiddle, Blanche played the guitar and her husband Charley Keys played the banjo. Blanche's brother, Howard Wilson, played many instruments and together with Blanche's sister, Daisy and her husband Tom Ward, they would all travel and perform at barn dances and Grange halls around the Roseburg, Oregon area.
In September of 1964, Blanche was residing at 1217 SE Pine Street, Roseburg, Oregon. Blanche willed her home to her grand nephew, Clark J. Wilson. The property was sold and a motorcycle shoppe was constructed, Carl's Honda at 761 Stephens S. E. in Roseburg, Oregon. Blanche is buried in the Melrose, Oregon Cemetery in lot 32-1 and her husband, Charles Kyes.
