─═════════ ✿ڰۣڿ✿ Obituary ✿ڰۣڿ✿ ═════════─

This world lost one of its best - Lillian Grace Nay died on Tuesday, September 20. She was born to R.E. and Lillian Dickson on June 27, 1921 in Spur, Texas. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Hen, her husband and partner in all that was good, John and her darling son, Eddie Hilley.

She is survived by her daughter Martha Hilley of Austin, daughter-in-law Jo Hilley of Jasper, grandson Ray Dickson Hilley of Dallas and a host of loving friends spread all over this country.

For thirty-five years, "Miz Nay" taught music to students from Spur to Crosbyton in Livington, to Coldspring and many points in between. Her ability to instill a love for music in her students made her irreplaceable in the hearts and minds of many, many who worked with her. She was a Spur ISD library aide from 1979 to 1981. She was Executive Secretary of the Spur Ex-Students Association for over twenty years. Her sincere love for and dedication to her hometown and those who had been a part of it made her a legend in her time.

L.G., as she was known to many, had an uncanny ability to collect people. If you met her, you had no choice but to become a part of her life. She was an avid bridge player and will be missed by her many buddies. She threw the best holiday open house in the state of Texas and will be missed by the many, many people who enjoyed her vitality and hospitality.

We will forever be indebted to Dr. Kenneth Knoll, Dr. Lloyd Berg and the marvelous staff of Seton Medical Center. You truly wrapped her in your loving care. Very special thanks and love to Ginny Go, Jim Jones, Kathy Reynolds, Sue Colburn and Lucy Dushay.

Services will be in Spur, Texas on Saturday, September 24, 4:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Spur Cemetery. A celebration of Mother's life will be held in Austin at a future date.

Donations may be sent to Hospice Austin, The Spur Cemetery Association at PO Box 111, Spur, Texas, 79370, First United Methodist Church of Spur, or the charity of the donor's choice.
