Darwin (Sid) E. Casper, 81, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side. Born January 18, 1938 to Elden and Elsie Wagstaff Casper. Married Luana Duke on June 22, 1957. Later solemnized in the Provo Temple.

Sid worked hard all his life in several occupations. He retired from Texas Gulf in Green River, Wyo. In 1990. He then joined Luana working in their daycare, where he was fondly known by all as Grandpa.

Sid loved the outdoors, camping, and picnics with family. He and Luana had many traveling adventures in their van. They loved the Tetons, Jackson Hole, and Colorado.

He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease everyone he knew. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be missed dearly.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister Connie Montgomery. Survived by his wife, Luana, Children: Bruce (Melinda) Casper, Duke (Barbara) Casper, Susan (Dave) Adams, Vickie (Keith) Ulland, Brenda Casper, Stephanie (Jason) Stika, Mary (Ed) Salas; Sisters Marion Isi and Elda Grooms; 19 Grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Sunday July 14, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Heber Valley Funeral Home 288 N. Main St., Heber City, Utah.

Visitation Monday 9:00 am. Family prayer 9:30, followed by graveside services at 10:00 am, Heber City Cemetery.
