Wayne Webster Adair
December 3, 1944 - June 25, 2019 (age 74)

Wayne Webster Adair, age 74, died June 25, 2019 in St. George, Utah at Dixie Regional Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1944 in Panguitch, Utah to Golda Brinkerhoff Adair and William Webster Adair. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. Wayne attended school at Valley Elementary and is a 1963 Valley High School graduate.

From the time Wayne was twelve, he herded sheep for his grandfather and uncles. After high school, he worked for Kaibab Industries, then served a mission in the Northern Indian Mission. He went to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he met and married Audrey Rudisill. They were later divorced. In 1979, Wayne married Jacqueline Greer. The two moved to Georgia soon after, where they both worked in the airline industry, Wayne as a Customer Service Agent and Jackie as a Flight Attendant. After retiring, they moved to Orderville in 2002 to be closer to family.

Wayne spent his life serving others, making others think and laugh, and offering a lot of unsolicited advice. If he were with us right now, he would be asking us “what all the fuss is about”, and to not “jump until we get hit”. He will be deeply and truly missed by his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 40 years Jacqueline Greer Adair; daughter Jennifer Adair-Cota (Jorge Cota); granddaughter Alexa Adair-Scott (Justice Adair-Scott); sisters Wilda (Weston) Ball and Cheryl Adair; brother Brad (Donna) Adair; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Neil Adair.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Orderville Utah Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 120 were in the Orderville Cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
