Following a hard-fought battle with cancer, Sandra Kay Keppel, 71, died June 15th, 2018, at her home in Bellevue, with immediate family gathered around her. Born in Junction City, Kansas on December 30th, 1946, Sande graduated from Manhattan High School in Kansas. She met her husband Robert Keppel while attending her sophomore year at Central Valley High School in the Spokane valley. She later earned her Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University. A preschool teacher and parent educator at Bellevue Community College, Sande also enjoyed trips to Europe, holiday gatherings with grandchildren, and excursions with a special crew of friends also known as the "Fab 8." She is survived by her husband Bob, children David, Allie and John, and grandchildren Analeigh, Caleb and Willem. A memorial service for Sande will be held at 10:30 am on August 4th, 2018, at Newport Presbyterian Church in Bellevue.
